My name is Lorna Whiteaker and I am a San Luis Obispo business consultant and coach dedicated to helping business owners like you get the results they want from starting a business with the basics of planning, to taking a business you have and growing it into the business you always dreamed it could be.

In talking with entrepreneurs like you every day in my role as a business consultant, I know that each one of us wants to achieve an amazing work/life balance. I suspect that many of you who are reading this would love to have more time (and I truly appreciate that you are spending some of that precious commodity on reading this).  More time for family, fun, friends, giving back, or just taking a nap. But please don’t tell me that it’s not also about the money.  I know there are lots of entrepreneurs who would like to grow their small business into something more to make more money. No? Wait? Really? Not even secretly? When we get real about it, we all want to have enough to pay our bills, put our children through school, have some fun, save for our future, and be able to help others.  Wouldn’t it be nice to not wake up in the middle of the night worrying about money? A healthy, viable business will in fact give you not only more money but will give back some of your precious time to spend as you please.  It is my privilege as a business consultant to watch so many small business go from just starting out and squeaking by, into something where the owner(s) of that business are able to truly enjoy having their business and the lifestyle they wanted, too.

I want to share with you my passion for business as well as my knowledge and hands-on experience, that “real world know how” if you will, all small businesses are in need of.  I have over 30 years of experience working with small businesses.  I have worked both as an administrator in the legal industry and as an independent business consultant helping hundreds of entrepreneurs.  I have clear and realistic expectations of just what a business owner must deal with in running their business, big or small.  I have worked with firms making 7 figures and I have helped startups with little more than elbow grease and a dream.
