Were You Set Up to Fail Financially?

Having a business consultant is so important to the health of your business.  Why?  Because most of us (including me) have been set up to FAIL financially.

We have been conditioned to fail by our culture, our families, schools, the banking industry, big business… need I go on?

Were You Set Up to Fail Financially? 1

When I was in school I was taught home economics – sewing and cooking – but nothing about how money works or even how to balance a checkbook. My father (who was an entrepreneur pretty much all of his life) did not think any of his daughters would (should?) be business owners. In fact I was always raised to be a GOOD EMPLOYEE. We were NEVER taught anything about how to make money other than via a pay check. We were NEVER taught anything about money management or anything else related to how money works. I did not understand compound interest until I was in my 30’s and fortunately did not get caught in the negative amortization mortgage and credit card schemes of the banking industry that ensnared so many people who were set up to fail financially.

And frankly, when my sisters and I began to start coming into our own and take the helm for our lives financially, my father actually undermined our confidence and interfered with our success – pretty unbelievable right?  I was set up to fail and be at the mercy of the employee revenue model my entire life and I lived that way for a long time.

Now, I am a business consultant doing what I love and loving my business.

How many of you reading this can see the subtle influences in your life that said to you – YOU are not smart enough, YOU have nothing anyone would pay you for, it’s too risky for YOU to have a business, it’s too hard for YOU, people won’t like YOU if you succeed, YOU will fail if you try, YOU’RE UNWORTHY so it’s best if you play small and not reach for the stars?  You’re NOT alone!

43% of the total wealth in America is owned by 1% of the population. Do you think that is an accident? What do you think they learned growing up? Maybe something about how to make money? How money works? How to navigate the financial maze?

I want you to know right now that each and every one of us can learn how money works, how to make money, and how to manage money. These are very BASIC financial skills that are not being taught and the reason is very simple: the money makers in the US need employees and they don’t want competition.  As a business consultant, I’ve seen people make that shift from “not good enough” to a proven money-maker.  It’s OK to ask for help.  It’s OK to get training.  The confidence will follow.

So I ask you:

  • Do you have the financial skills it takes to have a business that thrives?
  • Would you like to know how to create financial stability?
  • Are you ready to stop playing small?
  • Are you ready to stop the self-sabotage of not having financial skills because you BELIEVE why bother, you are after all unworthy?

Are you ready to have a business you love?

Success is not an event, it’s a result. Stop playing small.

Stop trying to achieve success without the right tools for the job! It’s time to take your business beyond the shoe box and it’s OK. Ask me how!  Leave a comment below or request a consultation right this very second:
